Ecological Proposal

Proposal : convert obsolete industrial infrastructure into urban forests, with planning determined by the instinctive “forces of nature”. No human contact is permitted for a minimum of 30 years.
The plan requires an initial human assistance of unskilled destruction of ground concrete and skilled partial destruction of building walls and roofs, facilitating the growth of plants and animals.
The propagandist slogan “Give It Back” recalls the human pastime of passively returning our waste to the earth. In this case, ecological preservation occurs through the destruction of objects which instantiate destruction of local environments. In the future, these facilities can assume a supportive relationship with the environment, effectively redefining their role in the urban context.
